Orientation Day Mania

What a tiring day this was. I was in a really bad mood this morning because quite a few things happened the day before that made me lose it. Let's just say that the day was bad from somewhere between 10.40am till 11.50pm. Anyways, today seemed to be quite hectic since not only did I have to work as student helper the whole day, but I had to take care of the newsletter as well. We were distributing it today during Orientation Day.

We were first worried that we won't make it in time to distribute the newsletter, but our worries changed drastically after Mr. Amir and Miss Azian looked at it. No one spotted this mistake. Not even them. In the front cover picture, one of the student was wearing slippers. Because of that, we couldn't give it to people directly because INTI doesn't allow slippers and we would be sending them a bad message from this. And so, we had to implement the newsletter inside the orientation goodybag in a hush hush manner. Man was that tiring.

We thought that maybe we wouldn't have enough newsletter, but it turns out we had about 300 extra copies with us. Luckily we told the printers to make only 500 instead of 1000 or else this would have been a big deficit for us. After that, I still had to go and do my job while I'm doing all of this with the help of a few kind people. Thanks guys!

Today was definitely a good workout as I had to run all over the place. So glad that it's all over now... well, my part at least. The Orientation Day is still going on for 1 more hour. I have no idea what they're going to do for the next 1 hour until 7.00pm. They basically already explained to all the new students about everything they need to know. Oh well, whatever. I just want to sleep now. Goodnight.

It's Done!!!

Finally, after working our butts off, it's finally done! The newsletter is finally completed with all the errors checked and all that crap. Both LP and I had to play hooky from our student helper work to finish off the newsletter which had a few errors that we kept noticing after every 30 minutes or so.

I owe him dinner after all the work and effort he put in. Oh well~ Cheapo dinner is good enough~ Just kidding ahahah! We are such horrible people. We promised the printing uncle that we would pass everything to him by 2.00pm, okay okay I promised. We ended up giving everything to him at 7.00pm at night so yeah, we are such assholes.

I feel terrible for not doing much work today at the office. Even though I was suppose to have worked for about 7 hours today, I only worked for about 1 hour I think at most? Yeah that was very bad. Oh well, now that the newsletter is over and done with for now, I shall work hard tomorrow for the office to make up for today. Okay, time for dinner!

Guitar Practice

I've been practicing my guitar since I woke up this morning at around 6.30am. I just can't put it down right now and so I practiced on and on until my fingers are about to break. The INTIMA Office was quite empty today so I used it as a chance to practice playing the guitar as loud as I can.
This picture is similar to my guitar to give you the idea.

A lot of people seemed to like my guitar very much. Some threaten to kidnap it when I was sleeping in the office ahaha! I'm switching between my guitar and the INTIMA Office's guitar. The strings on my guitar is quite hard, although the quality and sound that it makes is really nice. It's seriously hard to play on my guitar especially since I just started playing a few days ago. The INTIMA's guitar on the other hand is quite nice to play with. Easy to handle and the strings are not that hard. It's a good guitar for beginners.

Currently I've had a tune stuck on my head since morning. I've been practicing my strumming with this tune so much that people thought I was playing a song. It really does sound like a song but I've never heard it played before. Well, not that I can recall anyways.

I'm still practicing that same tune but am now taking a break because my fingers hurt badly. I can't even strum a proper G chord now. I'm debating with myself on whether I should go for lessons or not. It would delay my Mac resolution substantially, but it might be a good idea to go for it. Oliver said that he'd teach me how to play it first to see if I like playing it.

Trying my best right now to play it using my fingers, but so far I can only play it with a pick. My fingers are still not use to the strings. And I still can't recognize all the strings by ear yet. Hopefully I'm able to do so soon. Alright, back to practicing!

Day Off

Hey all,

Sorry I didn't post anything yesterday as I was feeling a little under the weather. Basically for the first time since my last exam paper, I've been going to college everyday. Yesterday was the first day that I just stayed in bed and not go anywhere. I actually was planning to go to college yesterday, but I got a little bit delirious when I woke up and so I just decided to stay home and sleep-in for the day.

I was thinking that yesterday would be my day off from any kind of work. Boy, was I off the mark. When I got up at around 10.00am, my family put me to work by doing some labor for them. Some of the things they asked me to do were things that they could have done it themselves, but the idea of someone else doing it stayed in their minds I guess. It wasn't a lot to do anyways so I can't complain much about it.

I spent a few hours yesterday practicing on my guitar, finally. I bought it back at Sweden and I haven't touched it since middle of January. Was too busy to play it back then up until now but yesterday opened a window of opportunity for me to practice it. It was fun and painful at the same time ahhaha! The strings on my guitar are quite hard so that explains why I said it was painful.

Good news is we finally got a new maid in the house. My aunt found her for us so at least now I won't have to do all the house chores around the house. She seems okay from first look, but it's still too early to say anything. But hey, I'm not complaining about it since now I won't have to do much work at home.

Not much to say about yesterday other than that. I'm still feeling kind of out of it today, as it's not budging anywhere. But at least I'm able to control it so that's good. All I can say for today. Need to get some rest or another Battlefield therapy session ahaha!

Guess who's back with a lot of stories?

Hey everyone!!!

Sorry for taking a longer time to update the blog. A lot has happened these past few weeks and I was so busy that I didn't have time to update the blog. Sorry all! Alright, time to update all of you on what's been happening for the past few weeks. Starting off with the finals!

Final Exams

Boy was this a hectic time. My final exams were quite stressful and kind of funny in a way. First, I had my macro economics exam. That was quite okay. I think I can score at least an A- on it. Hopefully, because the essay question was quite hard. I was scared when I was doing the essay question because they were asking for current situations in the U.S. economy and what has the Fed and Obama done to fix it. Crap. Coming from someone who never keeps himself updated with world news, this question was quite hard. But thankfully I did some research a few hours before the exam so I hope that I got it correctly.

After macro econs was over, the next day was history and politics. Yay~ The day that I'd wish I was dead had arrived! Not. Surprisingly I did okay in both exams. I stayed over at LP's house the night before the exam and we studied politics until it was 2.00am. He hit the sack at the time while I stayed up the rest of the night studying for history. For me, my history exam was first before politics and I haven't read a single thing from history yet. So, I spent the whole night stressed out reading history. During the exam, I straight away did the essay and short answer questions first. For history and politics exam, the format was 30 objective questions, 5 short essays, and 1 long essay questions. I worked my way from the back first. The essay questions... I have no idea how I did it but I somehow manage to remember some points and made it long. History is secured I hope. At first I thought that I wouldn't have time to finish up the exam as it was only 2 hours long and we had 6 essay questions to answer like the exam before finals. To my utmost surprise, I finished it with 15 minutes to spare. Woo hoo!

After history was over and done with, I had to study for my politics as I had about 4 hours before the exam starts. I spent about 3 hours reading only 3-5 pages of the politics book. And I had about 200+ pages to study. I was feeling so tired that the information wasn't going through my brain. Correction. It went into one ear and out at the other. I couldn't stand it anymore that I broke the rule that I set myself not to do. I bought a Starbucks coffee! Nooooo! My Mac resolution! But oh well, desperate times call for desperate measures. I only had 1 hour before the exam starts so I had to drink it so sue me! After drinking it, my eyes were wide open and my brain felt very sharp. I took the politics book and started to speed read everything inside. Miraculously, I manage to finish reading everything in that 1 hour.

It was time for the exam. I started it off at the long essay question first. I saw it. Just one line. Explain Bill of Rights. Crap. I was literally afraid that I won't be able to make it long. So I started explaining the Bill of Rights was made by who and who during what time. Then I explained every single amendment inside the Bill of Rights along with examples but I couldn't remember the 10th amendment. Only that it had something to do with the power of congress. Then I noticed that I had wrote about 3 pages full and spent about 45 minutes of the 2 hours on this question alone. Crap! I was scared I won't make it in time with the other questions. Thankfully, every other question that came out after that were things that I had just read a few minutes ago so I remembered everything. I was almost laughing out loud during the exam when I saw those questions! I finished the exam with 30 minutes to spare so I left the exam hall early with a big grin on my face. Conclusion, always drink Starbucks coffee before an exam to keep yourself alert ahahaha! I'm so going to sue the lecturer if she doesn't give me at least a B+ on my politics! My coursework wasn't really great, but it's not that bad either. Weee~ nightmare was over and only one exam left!

CSC was a little bit... difficult in some parts. I did a lot of careless mistakes. I only started reading for CSC about 2 hours before the exam so this was partially my fault. Okay, it was all my fault. Oh well, the exam wasn't so bad though. But I'm still sad as my lecturer already told me my marks for the subject and it was a B+. Nooooooooo! I wanted at least an A- from CSC as my coursework was quite high! Sobs... That was very disappointing... Oh well, it's all over! 2 weeks of freedom before the new semester starts! Woo hoo!!! Yes! Next story!

Sleepover at LP's Place
This happened the night before our politics exam. We both wanted to study more on politics and thought that it was better for us to study together than seperately so that we could help each other out on some parts. Might have been a good idea, or a bad idea if we were to talk all night instead of studying. Anyways, it was getting a little late at college so I accepted his offer and stayed over at his place in Klang. First time I was ever in Klang so yeah, that was fun ahaha!

While we were driving to his place, he was telling me all about the roads in Klang and how many minutes would it take us to pass from one area to the next and we started talking crap again. When we reached his living area, I was going waaaaaaa. It was a really nice neighborhood to live in. It looked like one of those places where a lot of rich people lived in and I was right. Apparently there were quite a few rich and famous corporate people living in that area. I was going like, whoaaaaaaaa this is your house???? His house looked really nice.

At the front lawn he had some Usagi lawn ornaments ahaha. Next to his TV in the living room he had a few Neko figurines. In his kitchen he had some Kuma and Inu comforters on the fridge. They were all soooo kawaii desu~ Yes, I have a weakness for cute things so shut up! Ahahaha! I came to a conclusion that his mom must be an animal lover with all those decorations in the house.

His room was really nice. It was seperated into two rooms actually. One for his bedroom and the other is his computer room I guess. I especially love his bean bag chairs ahahah! I sat on those things all night while I was at his place. It was seriously comfortable and fun to sit in. His computer was just ridiculous. 2 monitors! Man, I so wanted to rob him blind after that ahahahah!

We spent about 3 hours reading on politics while talking about other stuffs as well. Yeah, it was bad for us to talk about other things while we had our finals the next day but we were both very bored! It wasn't a bad decision to sleepover at his place after all. In the end, we did help each other out on some of the things we didn't know so that was good. Didn't get to see much of Klang though since I was only there for that night and we studied our brains out. I'll explore more of Klang the next time I stay over at his place ahaha! Next story!

Student Helper for Info Day
Last Saturday and Sunday, the college needed a few student helpers for Info Day. I got recommended by Avril May Chong to work for Marketing Office. If you're wondering why I call her that, it was a trend started by JC during last semester and has stayed that way even now haha! Anyways, I took the job and started to work for Marketing Office. Woo hoo free T-shirt! It was a rule that all student helpers for Marketing Office would get the new INTI T-shirt and they have to wear it while they work.

I worked in front of the reception area on Saturday, welcoming people who came to INTI. It was a fun job and I got a good exercise from it as after welcoming them, I had to usher them up to the third floor using the lift going up and after that going down using the stairs back to my post. Repeat that process for over 50 times. Trust me, it's a damn good exercise ahahahah!

Sunday on the other hand was a little hectic and was a mental torture. I was working as a tele-marketer for the Marketing Office that day. For 8 hours I had to call random people asking them questions and all that. I had a few parents shout at me, a few people hanging up on me with extensive force, and a few who just said straight flat NO.

That was an interesting experience that I never want to repeat again. I'm going to need therapy after that. And that therapy was a battlefield session with LP and a few other people like Amos, Eugene, JC and many more ahahah! Next story!

ED Board Rush Hour
This was a scary one. The Ed Board rush hour was really exhausting. We started working on the next issue and finished what article titles and theme we wanted for May just last Monday. We needed to start work on the issue ASAP. The issue is going to come out on this coming Thursday for Orientation Day. Yeah. We had about 9 days left to get about 10-13 articles written by the editorial team, designing the layouts and graphics by the design team, and lastly print about 1000 copies for Thursday. Simple right? Let's start panicking people! Yay!

We decided that each of those tasks get only a maximum of 3 days to get everything done. I finished getting the writers to write everything and finished editing some of them yesterday. A few people didn't include any pictures in their article so I had to find some pictures that would fit their article for them. Man was that a tiring job to do.

After finishing up everything, I celebrated myself as my part is done and now it's time for the design team a.k.a LP to start on his work. Hopefully he'll have help this time so he won't do it alone again. I can't wait to see how this issue turns out as we have quite a few interesting articles inside it. Okay enough about work, next story!

INTIMA Conference
Now for the last story for today, the INTIMA Conference! It started yesterday as the other 6 INTI's all over Malaysia came for the conference. The INTIMA Exco's only, not the entire student body. I was asked to be a helper for the event in helping them prepare before the other INTI-ans and Metropolitans arrived.

It was kind of exciting at first when you have something to do, but when you're job is done there's nothing left for you to do. LP was taking pictures during the opening ceremony of the conference while Alexis and I sat on the floor at the back working on our laptops. I was editing some articles and playing facebook while Alexis was listening to her songs and the conference at the same time and started to work on her article.

I wasn't in the conference when the INTIMA's were discussing the issues but from what I heard, it wasn't very productive. Apparently, they're repeating the same issues that has been said by their predecessors before them. That's not a good sign. Other than that I heard that some people from the conference sounded really, really snobbish that it makes you just want to punch their face and say we know already so shut up! Ahhahaah! The conference is still going on today and tomorrow but today and tomorrow is only about fun. They discussed the one year issues in under 2 hours and 30 minutes. Yeah. Not much progress can be made from that. Today and tomorrow is only going to be about getting to know each other, playing some games and having fun. I'm student helper for tonight so we'll see how it goes.

Well, that's all the stories for now to make up for the sabatical that I took a few weeks ago. My holiday seem to mostly revolve on work and INTI so yeah, I practically have no life whatsoever. See ya people!

Two Weeks Sabbatical

Hey people!

Yes after more than a month of posting everyday, I finally missed a day! Yay~ I'm still sick with a fever right now and it was quite bad yesterday. So I just took a day off from blogging. Now I'm afraid I'll have to take a two weeks sabbatical from blogging as my final exams are next week. Eyup, the day has come.

Wow, time sure flies really fast this semester. It felt like it just started and now it's already coming to the end of the semester. I have to say I'm quite happy with my macro econs and csc coursework marks. -A is in my hands! If I study for them ahaha! As for history and politics... let's just say that I'd be happy with a B in my hands if possible. Have to work hard for them. And you know what's great? Final exam for politics and history are on the same day so yeah, I'm so screwed! Yay!

Okay people, I have to say goodbye for about 2 weeks to focus on final exams. I'll start posting again once my finals are over next week so, wish me luck people! See you guys next week!

Slaving at home

Today was suppose to be a relaxing day for everyone since it's a Saturday. I thought that I would be relaxing too since I only have a few things to do to finish up an assignment. But no, it couldn't be that easy.

First, when I finished my part of the group assignment I wanted to go and rest for awhile as I still had a slight fever from yesterday. Then as I was about to doze off, my mom came in and called me to help clean the whole house. Great. As if my own room wasn't a challenge enough to clean, she asked me to clean everyone's room as well as the living room and kitchen. Not only that, I also had to do everyone's laundry work as well. While I'm at it, I also had to take out all the trash which mounted into 2 big black piles of garbage bags.

While I was doing all of this, my groupmate called me and told me that I did the assignment wrongly and so I had to redo my part again. Crap. So, I had to research everything all over again while doing the chores around the house with a fever that's getting worse and worse by the minute. Yay for me~

After I finally finished the assignment and most of the chores around the house, my mom invited some people over and I again had to help prepare the tables and such. When I was going to clean my room, my brother was around and I thought "Forget it. Even if I clean this place it will be messy again in less than an hour."

After he left, I lost the mood to clean and my fever was getting bad. At least I'm not delirious yet. And now I have to start studying to prepare for my finals exam which is in about 9 more days. Hopefully this fever would be gone soon and I can jump and scream again.

Battlefield 2 Gaming Session

Today after lunch LP, Jonathan and I went to the cybercafe next to Asia Cafe called FTZ. At first we were going to play Left 4 Dead but it lagged quite a lot after a few minutes of play time. So sad that had to happen because we were having some fun after finishing the first round.

Since that was a bust, we were looking for another game to play and then Jonathan mentioned
Battlefield 2 which LP was an expert in. I never played it before so I thought that this would be a good experience since I was looking for a new game to play for awhile now. The game took awhile for everything to start but it turned out to be an awesome time!

The game was a military kind of game for those of you who don't know what Battlefield 2 is. It was really fun to play this game with other people, especially if you're in a big group. LP and I mostly teamed up with the helicopter combo of him driving the helicopter while I shoot whatever I see on the ground and air hahaha!

We spent about 3 hours in the cybercafe playing this game but it was worth it. Even though we had assignments and tests to worry about, it was good to take the day off from all the craziness that is college.

Happy Day!

Nowadays surprisingly I seem to be in an incredibly good mood. I can't seem to help myself with feeling this way. It's a good feeling! I haven't felt this happy-go-lucky for quite sometime now. Today I got the assignment marks for my macro economics group work. To my utmost surprise, we got 10.5% out of 15% which was the third highest within the class. Why surprise? Because we started work on it on the due date of the assignment and finished it 5 minutes before the time the lecturer wanted it. Yeah, we did very last minute work even though we were given 8 weeks to do the group assignment. And we got the third highest in the class ahahahaha!! I'm quite impressed with our power of crapping our way through the assignment ahahaha!!

After class, LP, Jonathan and I went to watch the movie
The Fast and The Furious 4 which was awesome I guess. I'll write the review on the movie some other time. We ate some Kenny Roger's before the movie which is killing off my resolution for the MacBook right now. Oh well, if all goes well I might not need to pay a single dime for it eh heh but that's a whole different story that I'll post another day as well.

We got back half an hour late for our 2.00pm class after the movie. I went to my class while LP parked his car. History was a little bit boring at the time, so Naomi and I were on our laptop most of the time. I was facebooking and chatting on msn while Naomi was reading some mangas online. Yes, it was terrible for us to do that but seriously! It was a little bit hard to pay attention to the lecture.

After class I hung out with Shannon and Tynnkerbel for awhile. Apparently VJ Utt of MTV was at Taylor's earlier and they were saying how dreamy and hot he was. They wanted to keep it away from the other girls so they used me as a substitute gal pal. Yeah, that was interesting ahahahah! We spent our time talking about how hot VJ Utt and Adam C. were. But mostly we were dissing Adam C. on his hair style choices from before and how pale his skin is and all that crap ahahaha!

When it was time for dinner, LP, JC and I went to eat at the Salmon Steak Restaurant near the Taylor's Business School. I got conned! I ordered an RM5 meal but got an RM9 meal instead. They got my order mixed up and it took them 30 minutes just to give me the wrong order. I didn't bother to complain as it was getting late and I didn't want LP to stay longer than he wants.

While we were eating, LP played a trick on JC when JC fooled around with LP's iPhone. JC wrote a status update on LP's facebook account which basically is saying that he's a pedo. Yeah, you heard me ahahahah! So then LP was acting all pissed off and JC fell for it after awhile. I saw right through his acting so I just kept my mouth shut first to see how far can he make JC believe him. And apparently he tricked him till he burst into laughter ahahaha!!

When dinner was over, we headed off home as it was getting kind of late. My bad LP for dragging you to dinner, sorry! That about sums up what happened today.

Goodbye?

Okay people, from today onwards I will be saying goodbye to all of you as I've outgrown blogging and started to focus on my career in life with emphasis on my studies. I'd also like to say goodbye to my friends because I will be leaving INTI to go to a college that suits me better than ICSJ has to offer for me. I blame it all on the ketchup stain for making me leave by the way.

Psych! April Fool's! That's right people, run in fear for the dreaded day filled with horror stories has arrived yet again! Be afraid, be VERY afraid, muahahahahaha!! Okay, yes that's a very lame starter but oh well. Moving on!

It's kind of quiet in college today even though it's April Fool's Day. This is mostly due to the final exams coming in about 2 weeks time. Another reason being that it is because it's April Fool's Day that everyone is quiet. We're all too busy watching over our own backs and protecting ourselves from being tricked than dare to do any tricks ourselves.

Thankfully, this doesn't hold true to some of my friends. Some of us tried to trick our lecturers by saying that the painters spilt red paint all over their car while others just said random things like seeing a ghost in the office the other day. I myself actually fell for that for a second when one of my friends used that on me. Curse you! Some other friends of mine took it to the next level with one of our friend's car by planning to wrap it up like a present with a note attached to it that says "Do not open until Christmas". Now that's seriously hilarious ahhahah!

Besides that there wasn't much tricks going around, sadly. Man, I wish I was more better prepared for today and be a joker myself. Oh well, as they say, there's always next year.
