Busy Weekend

This weekend seems to be quite a busy weekend I've had up to date. There were a few Ed Board related matters that I have to take care of and still am by the way, finishing off some assignments that I've been putting off for awhile, and study for some upcoming tests in the not so distant future.

I've just started on my part of the group assignment and it took me 1 hour just to finish up one point out of the 8 points. Looks like I won't be sleeping anytime soon. Tests are going to be bombarded on me soon, so I better prepare myself for that fast.

There's still the matter of finishing up some of the articles for the March Issue of the INTI Insider that I still haven't written yet. I have to get on that right after I finish up my assignment. Unfortunately, there are numerous things for me to do and there seems to be a depleting timeline which makes it all worse. Then again, that is the case with all students around the world now isn't it? No time for games, its time for work!

Dreams...

Dreams are such random things aren't they? I for one didn't expect to get one just yesterday. For the past... 2 weeks I think, I've been able to sleep for only 1-3 hours max. I finally got a good night's rest yesterday of 8 hours, but it comes with a price.

I had a dream that I didn't think I would still have, which is kind of... weird. The dream was a remembrance of an event in the past and what might have happen afterwards if things were different back then. It must have something to do with the "signs" I was seeing last week but, it just felt like it meant something.

They say that dreams are windows to the future. What if what I saw in that dream was to be reality in time. I wouldn't know how to react to that honestly. I guess we just have to wait and see if it will either be just another sweet dream, or a harsh reality.

Road Trip to KL... Again

Hey people,

I'm going to try something new which is blogging a post everyday so let's see how it goes now shall we?

For today, let me talk about the recent trip to KL with LP and JC. I was suppose to have started my CSC assignment with JC the other day, but LP just had to tempt me out by saying that he was going to the bookstore called Kinokuniya at KLCC again. Damn you! So, being the story bookworm that I am, I went to KL with him along with JC.

It was another typical day out in the car with LP again as when he started talking, he missed a  turn and so we had our share of delays again. Anyways, when we were in KLCC, we were all acting a little bit whacky. Easier said that we were rediscovering our inner childhood memories.

We got into Kinokuniya and LP shooed JC and I to go look at some books while he finds his stuffs. Damn him! I was so tempted to get a couple of books that I spotted inside the store. But even the cheapest one costs about RM60++ so yeah, in my sweet dreams. I'm officially broke from all my expenditures on food, gifts and certain parties that happen from the beginning of this year up until now. It's time to save up and eat like a hobo again!

Back to topic, we originally planned to leave KLCC and get back to college at 4.00pm but it extended to 7.00pm as right after we finished our business in the book store, we went to look into some toy stores and eventually, get our very, very, very late lunch.

The road was exquisitely jammed up on our way back from KL at that time as it was around 5.30pm and considering that it was the Federal Highway. Everyone had just left their offices and was rushing back to their homes. Oh well, least it was quite enjoyable even though I didn't get a single book for myself. You have no idea how much self-control I had to muster up to resist from drawing out some money from the ATM machine. Another typical KL road trip again ahaha! That's all for today, see ya people.

Test Results!

I'm seriously surprised with myself this time... for the first test we have this semester I actually did alright. Macro Economics was quite easy. I only had one question wrong which was by careless mistake but it still surprised me like hell! I almost scored full marks on it this time! Yay!

Politics was a little bit... so-so I guess. I didn't do too bad yet not good enough either. But it was still better than I expected it to be. I thought that for sure I was going to get only half of the paper. It was good to know that I'm not that bad in it heh.

We just had our csc test today... and results out 4 hours after the test. Yeah. I did okay on it haha! I'm happy with my result~ Yay~

The most surprising one of all and nearly gave me a heart attack was my history test. I did extremely good on the subjective questions but I lost all my marks on my objective. For my subjective, I only lost about 3.5 marks out of the total 60. And all of them were essay questions! Holy Cow! I didn't think I'd do that good on my history exam as history and I never mixed well with each other. I was so happy to see I did great on my subjective... until I saw my objective. I only scored a quarter of the total objective score which was really bad. It's not surprising to me though I guess since I answered all 40 objective questions in 10 minutes. I did the subjective part before I started on objective and that led me to having no time at all to do the objective questions. Man! Because of that it pulled my marks down by quite a lot. But at least the total mark was still good I guess.

Oh well~ Tests are over with! Well, not yet as I have my macro econs mid terms this thursday so yeah, we'll see if my luck in tests continue. I still have a few stories to write for all of you, but I'll save it for another day as I need to start studying, do my assignments, edit some articles as well as write some articles, and prepare some exercises for my tutee so yeah, another long night. See ya guys some other time!

JC's birthday dinner!

Last week JC invited me and Tuan Tynn a.k.a. Tynnkerbel to go out to Sunway Pyramid and eat dinner to celebrate his birthday the week before. His treat. Shock of my life!!! Hahaha! He wanted to belanja us for we both bought him a birthday present during his birthday the week before.

Anyways, Boss sent us to the overhead bridge on the opposite side of the Pyramid on her way back home. The 3 of us then moved our way to go inside the Pyramid and were deciding on where to eat. Tynnkerbel and I had the same idea as JC was going to spend on us, let's pick an expensive place to eat!!! Yeah!!! But naaa, we're not that bad ahaha! JC didn't feel like eating western or sushi so we were thinking of where to eat. We then called the informations desk and asked them if there was anything exotic to eat here besides sushi and western. We then settled for the arabian restaurant called Tarbrush.

It was quite a nice looking restaurant. We sat at the end of a corner deep inside the restaurant that looked like a dining room of a mansion or a palace. We decided to share all the food and eat it like a buffet but before the food had arrived, we were doing a lot of cam-whoring at the time. Tynnkerbel! I want those pictures! We even did a video showing the food that we ate and introducing ourselves ahaha!

The bill came and gave JC a stroke and made a hole to his wallet ahahah! Anyways after that, we went to shop for their valentines present for each other. Here comes the bad part. I was seeing "signs" all over the place. It was as if someone upstairs was trying to tell me something. Seriously! It was really weird as every shop and every direction we go, there would be something that reminded me about someone. It was really freaky as there were also big obvious "signs" that happened as well.

Anyways, after they got their valentines present for each other and all the "signs", we went back to college and hung out there for a little while but it was getting late already so I left them about 45 minutes after we reached college. Okay, enough "signs". Next topic!

Tutoring!

Next up, Tutoring! Yes, by some miracle and God knows why, I've been blessed with the opportunity to teach another individual as a tutor. I've been tutoring someone ENL101 and it's been an interesting experience so far.

It started last week as CAE asked me if I wanted to be an english tutor for one of the first semester students. The tutee will pay me RM7 per hour. I said sure, how hard can it be to teach a person english? Boy, was I completely oblivious to the responsibility handed to me. Tutoring wasn't as easy as I thought.

I gave the first class to my tutee for free to be the trial period and see if she's okay with the way I teach her. I was extremely nervous and unprepared for the class and it was quite a bad impression to the tutee by me. It was really unprofessional of me to ask her what would she like me to teach her as I should have been prepared for it. Anyways, she asked me about how to basically write an essay following the format such as argumentative, compare/contrast, and so on. I had completely forgotten how all those format was like so I had to look through the notes during the session and try to explain to her while I myself tried to remember back what I learned half a year ago. First session, not so good basically. I was surprised that she'd stick with me anyways.

Today, we had the official session of the class and again, I was nervous on whether I had learned enough to fill the time slot with her. Luckily, I only thought 2 out of the 3 things today to her as we didn't have enough time. Mostly because I was explaining to her the things, and she didn't completely understand it until I gave her some exercise to practice on. Luckily she managed to do some of it and I'm glad that I'm doing a good job in this at least... hopefully. I gave her some homework for her to do and some ways to improve her english better that's not boring. We'll see how it goes on Thursday. Next topic!

Managing Editor

Hello people~

Sorry I haven't been updating ahah, been having one of my regular mood swings. Yeah I guess its that time a week again in my case. Anyways~ Some updates!

First off, Ed Board! From now on, Naomi and I have been promoted to managing editors. So we'll be bossing people around this time instead of getting bossed around. Yay~ But we're still the Big Bosses slaves. Yeah. We were cracking our heads together to get the contents for March issue finalized and right after we finished that, we realized that we have to plan for April's contents as well. Man, such a pain. We also have to write some articles as well as edit the other writer's submitted articles.

Other than that, we also had 2 meetings last week which was a little bit disorganized. First meeting was on Wednesday and it was only for the writers originally at 2pm. Unfortunately, most of the writers couldn't make it so we had to change the time from 2pm to 4pm during the day of the meeting itself. That was bad. What was worst is that we decided to tell the design team to come to the meeting as well 15 minutes prior to the meeting time. It was a little bit disorganized and I have to take the blame for it as it was my fault for not confirming with everyone earlier. Sorry everyone!

2nd meeting we held was on Friday, which was... I guess you could say a little bit more organized compared to Wednesday. We informed the members the night before the meeting and unfortunately again, we missed a few members. That was really bad. We forgot to message some of the members about the meeting on Friday. But all was good I guess as they were informed about everything that went down that day afterwards.

So far, I haven't been doing a good job as a managing editor, or even as an editor itself. Wish I could write better than the crap that I've been doing so far. I don't know... It's been a little rough nowadays for me. Anyways, moving on to the next topic.

Exam's Over

Hey all,

Sorry that I haven't been updating for awhile. It's been a hectic week. I finally have a break from all the exams and assignments for awhile. I crapped a lot in my CSC assignment so I'm not sure how I'm going to do in that. My exams for History and Politics were... let's just say I'm glad it's over. I don't really have a good mood right now so I won't write much. I had forgotten something important yesterday and right now I'm remembering it... Anyway, that's all I'm going to write for now. See ya.
